I loved the reimagining of The Little Mermaid, and Venesa is hands down one of my favorite villain-style heroines. She’s cold, calculated, and completely in control, but still somehow magnetic enough to pull you in anyway. Honestly, I would absolutely want to be her friend… even though I’m fully aware I do not possess the level of cool required to keep up.
Spice Level: 3 Flames 🔥🔥🔥
It takes a minute to get there (we’re talking about 60% into the book), but when it finally hits… it does not disappoint. The scenes are good, the tension is there, and it’s definitely hot—but there just isn’t a ton of it, and it doesn’t lean super kinky. This is a solid 3: satisfying, but not the main focus.
