Not every book needs to leave a lasting impression to be a good time. This one delivers exactly what it promises: a gorgeous Italian setting, plenty of chemistry, and enough drama to keep things interesting. It may not live rent-free in my head a month from now, but it was a very fun place to spend a weekend.

The spice here is solid, plentiful, and impossible to miss. It's not pushing any boundaries, but it doesn't need to. Much like the book itself, it's fun, indulgent, and exactly what you'd want from a summer escape.
