The Book
This week we're reading Love Uncovered—a romantic comedy filled with culture shock, unexpected chemistry, and enough hilarious moments to make you laugh out loud. After drunkenly booking what she thinks is a peaceful nature retreat filled with granola and meditation, wholesome Kansas girl Addison arrives in France and discovers she's actually signed up for a famous nudist resort where clothing is against the rules. There, she meets Jules, a carefree French model who pushes her far outside her comfort zone. It's lighthearted, steamy, and exactly the kind of carefree romance you want before packing away the sunscreen.

The laugh-out-loud humor, delightful writing, and genuinely unexpected turns made this such a fun read. It rarely felt like a traditional romance novel, and by the final chapters, I was honestly questioning whether the main characters would even end up together. That uncertainty felt strange, but also surprisingly refreshing—and kept me invested right to the end.
Spice Level: 3.5 Flames 🔥🔥🔥🍷
The spice is every bit as funny as it is steamy. There are only a handful of sexy scenes, but each one brings something different—including one that had me saying, "Wait... that's not the love interest." Yep. One scene features Addison with two other men instead of Jules, which is definitely not your typical romance move. The chemistry still delivers when it counts, but the spice never overshadows the humor, making this one feel more like a hilarious vacation adventure with a spicy side dish than a full-course spicy romance.
