The Book

Secretly Yours gives us a curvaceous, free-spirited gardener and a very buttoned-up professor in a story that’s equal parts sweet, awkward, and quietly tension-filled.

Hallie is sunshine in human form—chatty, emotional, a little all over the place—and Julian is… not that. He’s structured, reserved, and very much used to being in control of himself at ALL times.

Which is exactly why watching him slowly unravel over her is nothing short of delicious.

With secret admirer letters and opposites-attract chaos, this one is the definition of a rom-com—light, fun, a little messy, and completely charming. Yes, there are heartfelt moments and a bit of self-discovery, but overall? This book is here to make you smile (and maybe blush a little too).

This was such a fun, easy read to kick off the month.

It’s not overly heavy or dramatic—it’s more about the character dynamic, the contrast between Hallie and Julian, and those small moments that build into something more.

A perfect “sit outside with a coffee and romanticize your life” kind of book.

The real win here? Watching Julian lose control.

He starts off all restraint and structure, and then suddenly he’s saying things that are… not very professor-like. Add in the fact that he’s fully obsessed with Hallie—her curves, her softness, her dirt-covered knees—and yeah… this one earns its spice.
